Joachim Low: Guardiola will look after Sane at Manchester City

Germany boss Joachim Low believes that Leroy Sane is at the ideal club to further his development, claiming Pep Guardiola has a "clear plan" for him at Manchester City.

Sane was one of several big-money signings at the Etihad this summer, joining the likes of John Stones, Nolito and Ilkay Gundogan as Guardiola arrived at the club from Bayern Munich. The 19-year-old had established himself as one of the Bundesliga's rising stars at Schalke, playing brilliantly since breaking into their first-team two years ago.

Low rewarded those displays with an international call-up last November, making his senior debut in a 2-0 friendly loss to France. Evidently Sane's performances also caught the eye of Guardiola during his stint at Bayern, prompting his summer pursuit ahead of the new Premier League season.

Unfortunately for the winger though, he's had a tough start to life at City, missing their opening three league fixtures through injury and subsequently falling down the pecking order behind the likes of Raheem Sterling, who's looked transformed under Guardiola's tutelage.

Despite his lack of game time thus far though, Low is confident that Sane is at the right club to further his career.

"With Pep Guardiola we know that he has taken care of young players," Die Mannschaft's boss told RND (via Goal). "He does not burn them out and operates with them with clear analysis. There is a clear plan for Leroy."
