Dumbarton are without central defenders Gregor Buchanan and Frazer Wright through suspension for the visit of Ladbrokes Championship leaders Queen of the South.
Sam Stanton, Josh Todd and Ryan Stevenson could all come in for starts after last week's 3-2 defeat against Raith and manager Stephen Aitken said: "Our first half at Kirkcaldy was not good enough and we found ourselves three goals down.
"Sam, Josh and Ryan all came on and helped turn things around so they are in my thoughts for this one.
"I need to get the team selection right as Queen's are having an excellent season."
Queen of the South expect to have Jordan Marshall back in their ranks after a knee injury as they look stop the Sons defeating them for a third time this year.
Manager Gavin Skelton said: "We have lost on our last two visits to Dumbarton and could not complain about either result. They are a side that has a good mix of youth and experience and who are looked after by a good management team.
"If we are to win then we need to play well. I am not worried about winning to stay top or anything like that. It is all about securing points just now."
