Charlton Athletic vs Rochdale - Charlton's Patrick Bauer faces race against time to make Rochdale clash

German defender Patrick Bauer faces a race against time to be fit for Charlton's Sky Bet League One clash with Rochdale at The Valley.

The 23-year-old suffered a hip problem in Tuesday's 1-1 home draw with Oxford and is a doubt.

Jason Pearce is expected to have recovered from concussion and could prove a ready-made replacement should Bauer fail to make it.

Harry Lennon can also return after suspension and should be included in the matchday squad.

Ian Henderson is a doubt for Rochdale after being taken to hospital with concussion sustained in the midweek win over Bolton.

The striker was substituted just before the half-hour mark in that game and his replacement Steve Davies will be hoping for a starting spot after grabbing the winning goal.

Manager Keith Hill, who is aiming to lead his side to a fourth successive victory, appears to have no other selection concerns.

Winger Reuben Noble-Lazarus and midfielder Ollie Rathbone are still awaiting their first appearances of the season and have been unused substitutes for the last two games as they continue their comebacks from injuries.
