CHELSEA owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly ready to plough huge sums into the club once again.

The Russian transformed the Blues from also-rans to Champions League winners via a billion pounds worth of investment.

Jose Mourinho led Chelsea to the title in 2015 but since then it's been all downhill.

And The Telegraph say Abramovich is ready to shake up the Stamford Bridge outfit with sweeping changes if he isn't convinced they can realistically compete for the title.

Mourinho's replacement Antonio Conte is said to have agreed with Abramovich to give the current squad the chance to prove they can hack it before hitting the panic button.

But their 3-0 loss to Arsenal on Saturday will have done nothing to persuade the owner that this set of players can do the business.

Chelsea spent a combined £115m over the summer on N’Golo Kante, Michy Batshuayi, David Luiz and Marcos Alonso but he is prepared to spend big again next summer if required.
