Eighty one minutes into Manchester City's 3-1 win at Swansea City, Kevin De Bruyne pulled up with a hamstring strain that will prevent him from competing for the next four weeks.
Citizens' coach Pep Guardiola was not too content upon learning the nature of the physical mishap suffered by his star playmaker, and lamented the ex-Wolfsburg midfielder missing the upcoming matches against Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and Celtic.
"Its a pity this has happened because Kevin [De Bruyne] is an important player for us," Guardiola said.
De Bruyne's participation in the long-awaited Champions League match against Barcelona on October 19 is now in jeopardy.
