Brechin City vs Peterhead - Brechin look to add to Blue Toon woes but O'Neil misses out

Brechin will be without Chris O'Neil for their home game against Peterhead but otherwise player/boss Darren Dods will pick from a full-strength squad.

O'Neil miss out due to a hamstring injury, while Dod has told his squad not to be taken in by the Blue Toon's slow start to the season.

Dods said: "Peterhead showed last season that they are a very good side and things will click into place for them. We have to ensure that does not happen in this game.

"We lost top spot last weekend when we lost to Livingston, but there were positives that we can take into this one as we pushed a full-time side hard."

Peterhead goalkeeper Graeme Smith has been passed fit to start, but Scott Ross will be absent due to a groin injury.

Manager Jim McInally is hoping that his players have learned a lesson after dropping points in last weekend's 2-2 draw with Stenhousemuir .

"We were two goals up and in control of the game, however in the second half we stopped doing what we had been doing to be in front.

"We started retreating and invited pressure on ourselves with Stenhousemuir taking full advantage.

"Brechin have been a good side throughout 2016 and if we get ahead we cannot give them encouragement that they will get back in."
