Bayer Leverkusen 0 - 0 Augsburg: Charles Aranguiz misses penalty as Bayer Leverkusen draw

Bayer Leverkusen were left ruing a penalty miss from Charles Aranguiz as they were held to a goalless draw at home to Augsburg.
Hakan Calhanoglu tested Marwin Hitz - the busier of two excellent goalkeepers - with a free-kick from long range which the Swiss tipped over the crossbar.
Leverkusen were then given the opportunity to take the lead in the 71st minute when Kevin Volland was obstructed in the penalty area by Jeffrey Gouweleeuw and the referee pointed to the penalty spot.
Aranguiz stepped up, but he screwed his shot wide of the right-hand post, much to Augsburg's relief.
It was Leverkusen who breathed a sigh of relief moments later when Jan Moravek's effort was saved by Bernd Leno at the other end.
Hitz excelled himself once again to deny Stefan Kiessling deep into stoppage time and ensure his side returned south with a point.
