Bolton Wanderers vs Milton Keynes Dons - Bolton without injured striker Gary Madine for MK Dons clash

Bolton's top scorer Gary Madine will miss the visit of MK Dons to the Macron Stadium.

A groin injury picked up in last weekend's draw with Southend is likely to sideline the striker for up to three weeks while midfielder Liam Trotter is a doubt with a knock.

Deadline-day signing Sammy Ameobi could therefore come into consideration for a full debut having appeared off the bench at the weekend.

Max Clayton (knee) and Zach Clough (hamstring) are still missing, as are Darren Pratley (fractured leg), Mark Davies and Dorian Dervite (both knee).

Club-record signing Kieran Agard could be restored to the MK Dons starting line-up for the tip to Lancashire.

The striker made his return from a four-match absence through injury as a 59th-minute substitute during the defeat at Northampton.

Dons manager Karl Robinson has options should he wish to make any more changes with the likes of Jack Hendry, Ben Reeves, George Williams and Daniel Powell also vying for starting places.

Scott Wootton this week underwent successful knee surgery, after suffering a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament at the end of last month, and he has begun his nine-month road to recovery.
