Joe Hart was mobbed in Turin by fans excited by his move to Torino

The Manchester City goalkeeper flew to Italy by private jet yesterday to complete a medical and sign the details of a season-long deal that will see City pay more than half his £135,000-a-week wages.

Hart, who rejected an offer to go on loan to Sunderland, received a rapturous welcome from Torino fans but they will have to wait for his Serie A debut until after the international break when the club make the trip to Atalanta on September 18.

Sergio Aguero is set to receive a three-game ban after being charged with violent conduct by the FA following his “elbow” on West Ham defender Winston Reid in Sunday’s Premier League game at the Etihad.

Referee Andre Marriner took no action at the time - despite appearing to be looking straight at the incident - but the FA have acted after reviewing TV evidence.

Aguero has until 6pm today to reply to the charge but if found guilty, he would receive a suspension that would rule him out of the Manchester derby on September 10 as well as City’s following Premier League game against Bournemouth and the League Cup trip to Swansea.

A panel of three former elite referees will view the video footage independently to determine whether they consider it a sending-off offence. For retrospective action to be taken the decision of the panel must be unanimous.

Meanwhile, Samir Nasri, Wilfried Bony and Eliaquim Managal are set to follow Hart out of the exit door before tonight’s transfer deadline with Pep Guardiola needing to cut at least two overseas players from his squad. Claudio Bravo’s arrival from Barcelona means City have 19 foreign players - two more than they are allowed by the Premier League.

Seville are interested in midfielder Nasri - and can offer the Frenchman Champions League football - while Napoli have joined Everton, Stoke and West Ham in the chase for striker Bony. Defender Eliaquim Mangala is set to re-join former club Porto on loan.
