Liverpool Pub Offers Chance To Drink With Hologram of Bill Shankly

Have you ever wanted to sit down and have a chat with one of your football team's most legendary managers?

Well if you're a Liverpool fan, you could soon be offered the chance to have a chat with none other than revered former boss Bill Shankly. A man who personified Liverpool FC during his career, the Scot managed the Reds for an incredible 15 years, winning three league titles, two FA Cups and the UEFA Cup, before retiring in 1974.

Shankly is regarded by many and he man who laid the foundations for the club's historic run of winning the European Cup in the 1980s.

But, as you probably know, Mr Shankly sadly passed away in 1981, but the somewhat bizarre scenario of Shankly in hologram for is being introduced at the Shankly Hotel in Liverpool's Victoria Street:

@BBCNWT wasn't he teetotal?

@LJMoranwriter He was indeed. Maybe he drinks virtual orange juice.

The spookily "life-like" virtual image of Shankly has been unveiled at the hotel by former Liverpool heroes Ian Callaghan, Ian St John and Chris Lawler.

Fans can dine next to Bill, as well as enjoy a few drinks next to him during the Liverpool match. However, don't forget that, as the above tweets point out, Bill was a strictly teetotal - so make sure it's nothing but a soft drink.
