Oxford United vs Peterborough United - Curtis Nelson set to miss out for Oxford
Posted Thursday, August 18, 2016 by PA
Curtis Nelson could miss Oxford's clash against Peterborough.
The defender, who made a summer move from Plymouth, missed the U's defeat at Fleetwood with a foot injury and will be assessed prior to the game.
Chey Dunkley should retain his place after returning from a slight hamstring problem but Sam Long misses out as he serves the final match of his two-game suspension. Youngster Miles Welch-Hayes will look to keep his place in the starting XI after an impressive senior debut.
Rob Hall (knee) and Christian Ribiero (ankle) are edging closer to returns but will not feature.
Peterborough manager Grant McCann has no new selection concerns and could stick with the side which thrashed Millwall 5-1 in midweek.
Defender Ryan Tafazolli, who has not played since the opening weekend of the season, remains a doubt with a hamstring problem.
Midfielder Brad Inman and striker Lee Angol are definitely out as they continue to recover from ankle injuries.
Forwards Adil Nabi, Shaquile Coulthirst and Joe Gormley, who came off the bench during the victory over the Lions, are pushing for starts should McCann decide to make changes.
