Valencia director of football Jesus Garcia Pitarch has slammed wantaway midfielder Daniel Parejo for his attempts to secure a move to Sevilla.
After a difficult start to his stay at the Mestalla, the 27-year-old entrenched himself in the first team over the past few seasons.
Parejo scored 12 goals in the 2014/15 La Liga season, making him the only Los Che midfielder to score 10 or more goals since Vicente Rodriguez in 2003/04.
Pitarch told Super Deporte that Parejo is "disrespecting the Valencia fans" although the door has been left open for him to make a u-turn on his decision and issue an apology.
A move to the Europa League champions appears to be off the table, however, with Pitarch insisting: "We've told Monchi he's not going to Sevilla.
"I've never seen a player behave like Parejo. It's because of his agent, not Sevilla. If Parejo apologises to the fans and his agents behave as they should, the fans will forgive him."
