ARSENAL target Mauro Icardi is ready to boycott Inter Milan‘s pre-season to push through a Premier League move, according to reports.

The Argentine striker, 23, sat out Inter's clash with Estudiantes on Thursday – despite being fully fit.

He is unhappy with his current contract at the San Siro and is flirting with the idea of a move to the Prem.

Agent and wife Wanda Nara, 29, has claimed her husband will opt out of Saturday's Bayern Munich friendly in Charlotte, North Carolina, according to Gazzetta World.

Icardi has been promised a four-year contract worth £65,000 a week by club president Erick Thohir.

But there remains strong interest from Arsenal, with Wanda jetting to London to open negotiations with the Gunners this month over a £46million move.

Pressure is growing for Arsene Wenger to sign a new striker after missing out on Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus.

The Frenchman is ready to make an improved offer for Alexandre Lacazette but Lyon are reluctant to sell.

Wenger admitted he needs a new hitman up front. Speaking after Arsenal's 2-1 win over MLS All-Stars, he said: "I have, at the moment, not too many attacking options of experienced players.

"Let's not forget that we still have a few players at home and a few players who didn't play today like [Santi Cazorla]. And of course we have [Mesut Ozil] and [Aaron Ramsey] at home. And [Olivier Giroud] is not here.

"So we have options, but we still look outside to find one more."

Napoli are also interested in signing Icardi to replace £75.3m-rated Higuain.
