A NEYMAR fanatic discovered in the Brazil team's laundry room of their Olympics hotel was arrested after going to extreme lengths to bag a selfie.
ESPN Brazil say the sports student, 21, used a fake Brazil FA pass to gain entry to the building in order to meet the national captain.
The fan was desperate to take a selfie with Brazil superstar Neymar
But staff spotted something odd in his behaviour while he was lying in wait, and alerted the cops.
Police officer Vladimir Passos said: "Hotel staff noticed something strange in his behaviour and called us.
"He planned to approach Neymar and the team. The flaw was spotted and we've fixed it."
The hosts are based in the central city of Goiania and the bizarre incident took place ahead of their Olympics warm-up match against Japan tomorrow.
