Man Utd tell Juventus they’ll pay £100m for Paul Pogba: £250,000-a-week contract on offer

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move for the Juventus talisman with Jose Mourinho keen to land another marquee signing following Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s arrival.

And according to the Daily Mail, United have told Juventus they’ll break the world-record transfer fee to secure his signature.

Gareth Bale’s £86m move from Tottenham to Real Madrid is currently the highest fee paid by a club, but United are ready to smash that and will offer Pogba a £250,000-a-week contract.

The Serie A giants’ high asking price has already put off Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and rivals City.

But United are intent on bringing Pogba back to the club he left on a free in 2012.

The Glazer family are also said to have given their backing to a move as they desperately try to restore United back amongst Europe’s elite.

And United’s chance of signing the 23-year-old received a boost yesterday with Pogba’s father admitting his son would like to play in a better league.

"What we want is that he plays in a better League," Fassou Antoine Pogba told AS. "He'll decide which team he's going to play for."
