Man City assistant makes surprise claim about Mourinho and Guardiola

MANCHESTER CITY assistant manager Domenec Torrent claims Pep Guardiola might have dinner with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho

Guardiola and Mourinho clashed during their time in Spain managing Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively.

But Torrent insists Guardiola has no problem with his Portuguese rival.

"Manchester is a small place and I'm sure we will coincide [with him] in restaurants," he told The Mirror.

"One day he can pay and another day Pep and I will pay.

"I think Pep is past being spooked by anything.

"You just get on with your work and control everything that is in your power to control.

"For our part we are very relaxed about it all."

Guardiola will formally take the reins at City on July 1 having left German giants Bayern Munich.
