Luke Shaw has handed Jose Mourinho a significant boost as the defender continues to step his training up ahead of the new season.
The England international missed most of last season due to a horrific leg break back in the Champions League in September and spent the rest of the campaign working on his rehabilitation.
While many of his team-mates are either on holiday or on duty with their countries at Euro 2016, Shaw has been training hard at United’s Carrington base in preparation for the new season.
United are due to report back to Carrington for the start of pre-season training on 6 July – and Shaw will be hoping to prove his fitness to new Manchester United boss Mourinho next month.
Shaw shared the picture above of himself leaving Carrington after training on Wednesday afternoon and wrote: “Training done for the day. Building up to pre season now.”
United finished fifth in the Premier League under Louis van Gaal last season and won the FA Cup.
