Bayern dismiss Higuain rumours

FC Bayern München technical director Michael Reschke has poured cold water on rumours suggesting that Gonzalo Higuain is a target for the Bundesliga champions.
The Argentina international has been linked with a move away from Napoli during the upcoming transfer window after a prolific season in Serie A.
Higuain scored an impressive 36 goals in 35 appearances for Maurizio Sarri’s side to win the Capocannoniere award as top scorer in the league.
But Reschke has quashed reports claiming that Bayern are interested in signing the 28-year-old striker as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who has attracted interest from Real Madrid.
“Gonzalo Higuain is one of the three or four best strikers in the world, but we’ve got the very best right now with Lewandowski,” Reschke told Italian broadcaster Radio CRC.
“That is why it makes no sense for us, or for the player, to sign another striker.”
