Henrikh Mkhitaryan's future at Borussia Dortmund looks increasingly bleak after his agent confirmed the midfielder would not sign a contract extension.
The Armenia international only has one year left on his current deal at Signal Iduna Park and his performances have been attracting the attention of some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Dortmund have done their level best to convince the 27-year-old playmaker to stay by offering him an extension to his contract, but it seems to have been for nought as the his representative, Mino Raiola, stated Mkhitaryan would not be considering signing new terms as it would only be prolonging the inevitable.
"Why should we prolong it now? Micki is under contract until 2017, and we continue to think about his future," Raiola told Bild.
This means that BvB will be forced to sell Mkhitaryan during the upcoming transfer window if they do not want to lose him for free at the end of his contract at the conclusion of next season.
Mkhitaryan bagged 11 goals and 15 assists in 31 games for Dortmund this season and is reportedly on the radar of Arsenal, Juventus and Chelsea.
