Bayern München chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has revealed that both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery are likely to be offered contract extensions in the near future.
The duo's respective deals are set to expire at the end of next season and negotiations over new terms are yet to be entered into.
Rummenigge suggested the Bundesliga champions were keen to hang on to their two star wingers, but warned the pair to remain patient because of their respective ages.
"I do not rule out that both will sign renewals with Bayern," he told kicker. "We all know how incredibly important they are, both on and off the pitch.
"But both will have to be patient for a bit. It is only normal to wait a bit longer with players who are older than 30."
Robben is 32 and has been with the Bavarians for almost seven years after joining from Real Madrid in August 2009, while Ribery is a year older and signed for Bayern from Marseille back in 2007.
Of concern to the club's hierarchy will be the number of games both players missed due to injury this season, Ribery started only six Bundesliga games while Robben played just 15 times in the league.
