Mourinho: I won’t get personal with Pep

Jose Mourinho feels a renewal of the personal rivalry between him and Pep Guardiola will be detrimental to their respective clubs' title aspirations.
The two managers, recently appointed by Manchester United and Manchester City respectively, have a history of animosity which stems from their days in charge of Spain's El Clasico rivals.
However, Mourinho feels that in a league as competitive as the Premier League, such a feud will benefit neither coach and hand the initiative to one of several other trophy challengers.
"[What has happened in the past] does not allow me to be innocent," the former Chelsea boss said during a speech at Lisbon University.
"For two years Pep and I were in a league where the champion would be either me or him, Real Madrid or Barcelona. In a situation like this individual fights make sense because they can influence things.
"[But] in the Premier League, if I focus on him and Manchester City, and he on me and Manchester United, someone else is going to win the league."
