JOSE MOURINHO made his first visit to Manchester United as their new manager - to be greeted with a heartfelt message of support from Sir Bobby Charlton.
Mourinho made the Bank Holiday trip to the north-west to take in the club's Aon Training Complex at Carrington with assistant Rui Faria.
And United club legend Charlton made a special effort to welcome the Special One to the club, and put an end to suggestions he did not want him at Old Trafford.

Charlton said: "I very happy to see you with us, congratulations."
Mourinho responded and said: "You killed my country's dream in 1966, but I have much respect for you.
"Don't congratulate me now. Now we have to win matches, then maybe congratulations."

The pair then spoke for several minutes before executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward took Mourinho on a complete tour of the club's Aon Training Complex.
It was the first time Mourinho had visited the club since he was announced as the new United manager last week after agreeing a three year deal to take charge at Old Trafford.
