Ivory Coast defender Aurier arrested
Paris-Saint Germain and Ivory Coast defender Serge Aurier was arrested in Paris, France, on Monday after he was reportedly involved in an altercation with police.

The controversial right-back allegedly insulted officers shortly after he left a night club in the Champs Elysees area in the early hours of the morning.

AFP reported that the 23-year-old was taken into custody "for kicking and insulting an officer".

PSG officials are still waiting on further details before commenting, but they have made it clear the incident "did not take place during a competition period".

It is the second time in the space of a few months that Aurier has made the news for the wrong reasons as he made headlines in February after making derogatory comments about PSG coach Laurent Blanc, striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and several other players.

He was suspended for six weeks, but he returned to the starting XI once the ban was over and had a generally excellent season, which resulted in him being included in the Ligue 1 team of the season.
