Gabi: No point in thinking about Lisbon

Two years ago Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid team looked set to lift their very first Champions League trophy, leading cross-city rivals by a single goal from the 36th minute to the 93rd.
Sadly, for the Argentine and his club's supporters, a Sergio Ramos equaliser with mere seconds remaining on the clock took the game into extra-time, where Los Blancos put a further three past Thibaut Courtois to snatch their tenth title.
Ahead of Saturday's final, Atletico midfielder Gabi says that his club needs to look ahead to the fixture rather than dwelling on the past.
"Thinking about the past is useless," the captain said at a pre-match press conference. "Instead, we’re evaluating what we plan to do. We feel that we can beat Madrid.
"We’ve dreamt of lifting the Champions League since we were children. It’s the most important game of our lives. Whenever you dream, you dream big, and [Saturday] will be a great day for all of us.
"I still have the pride of the team in Lisbon. We never gave up, and it was a cruel defeat.
"Nobody’s given us anything and we’ve come back here. It’s difficult to reach two Champions League finals and we’ve done that through hard work. [Our efforts] must be acknowledged," he added.
