Aston Villa's New Chairman Set To Make Big Change At Villa Park

Things did not go well at Aston Villa last season. Other than what was happening on the pitch, which wasn't much in fairness, there was also all the off field shenanigans with senior players like Joleon Lescott and Gabby Agbonlahor

Relegation was inevitable most of the season now that it's come the Villans can start focusing on getting a new manager in the door and rebuilding to try and win promotion at the first time of asking.

All that might have been helped with American Randy Lerner finally selling the club to Chinese billionaire Dr Tony Xia. Xia is likely to throw lots of money at the club which will please the fans but one piece of news might not go down too well, a changing of the name of Villa Park:

'Villa Park is a very historical stadium, so we will not simply and callously destroy a club's history.

'The ideal scenario would be for fans to enjoy Lotus Health products at Lotus Villa Park, it would be a great advert for both brands.'

In fairness to the Chinese Dr, who is really a business man, the fans probably won't care too much if he delivers on his line about wanting to make Villa into one of the biggest clubs in the world in the next decade.

However naming the ground Lotus Villa Park as a tie in with a healthy food company sounds awful and it hardly fits in with your average football fan, and that's not meant in an offensive way we all prefer a pie at a football match to a salad.
