A ceremonial tribute has been held for late Cameroonian player Patrick Ekeng in the national capital Yaounde.
Relatives and supporters of the player who died after a collapse in a match at his professional club in Bucharest, Romania, paid tribute to him at the Yaounde Sports Palace.
The remains of the 26 year old were flown in to uncontrollable wailing.
Cameroon Legend Rigobert Song and other sports administrators were in attendance to pay their last respect to Ekeng.
Friday's event comes some thirteen years after a similar tragedy struck another Cameroonian player, Marc-Vivien Foe.
