Accrington Stanley vs Stevenage Borough - Accrington manager John Coleman confident of securing promotion
Posted Friday, May 06, 2016 by PA
Accrington manager John Coleman is confident his side can get the job done and secure their first promotion to League One at home to Stevenage.
With no new injuries to contend with Coleman can pick from his strongest-available squad for a game which will see them go up with a win, or if results are favourable elsewhere.
Midfielder Scott Brown is not fully recovered from his hamstring injury after making the bench for last Saturday's win at Wycombe.
Fellow midfielder Matt Crooks (ankle) will miss Stanley's potential promotion party.
Chris Whelpdale and Byron Harrison could be back in contention for Stevenage after recent injuries.
Whelpdale has been out for three weeks with a groin problem and Harrison has been carrying an ankle knock.
Aaron O'Connor is a doubt after missing the goalless draw with AFC Wimbledon due to a knee injury sustained against Morecambe.
Steven Schumacher and Dave McAllister (both knee) are long-term injury absentees.
