Marouane Fellaini has featured in 18 of Manchester United's 35 Premier League fixtures this term
MANCHESTER UNITED star Marouane Fellaini may miss the rest of the season following an incident in his side's Premier League game with Leicester.
The Belgian international tussled with Robert Huth on a set-piece before appearing to elbow the Foxes defender in the first half at Old Trafford.
The incident was missed by match referee Michael Oliver but may be investigated by the FA if it is included in his match report.
If found guilty of violent conduct, Fellaini could face a three-game ban, similar to that handed to Tottenham's Dele Alli last week.
Alli was banned after striking West Brom midfielder Claudio Yacob in his side's 1-1 draw.
The ban would end Fellaini's Premier League campaign, ruling him out of United's remaining games against Norwich (a), West Ham (a) and Bournemouth (h).
However, he would be available for the FA Cup final on May 21, when United are scheduled to face Crystal Palace at Wembley.
The incident is the latest in a catalogue of similar events involving Fellaini, who was most recently criticised for appearing to elbow Emre Can during United's Europa League defeat to Liverpool in March.
