Arsenal ponder replacing Arsene Wenger with Manuel Pellegrini: He wants to stay in England
STAYING IN ENGLAND: Manuel Pellegrini wants to stay in the Premier League

Pellegrini, who will be replaced by Pep Guardiola at The Etihad, has had lucrative offers from China, Italy, Spain, Qatar and Russia to secure his expert services and lure him away from his new England home.

But the current City boss wants to stay in the Premier League.

And he believes he has got at least four more years left at the top level of football.

Pellegrini, 62, will be constantly linked over the summer with the Everton post if Roberto Martinez is axed.

And at Arsenal if the mounting pressure on boss Arsene Wenger leads to his exit.

Pellegrini has also been offered a job staying with City.

He could have his pick of a number of roles working for the club’s football group either in Manchester or Australia and America.

He has turned them all down, though, because Pellegrini feels that he still has the scope, ability and ambition to be a manager in English football.

Meanwhile, City captain Vincent Kompany will sit down and concentrate on his future under Guardiola after the European Championships.

He said: “I don’t think for one minute about next year. Of course not. You have mentioned before what is ahead of us. Let’s do that first. Let’s play in the Euros and after that let’s think about the future."
