ON EUR SIDE: Gallagher will be backing Wales this summer

The former Oasis star hates the Three Lions and will be backing Wales when the sides meet in Lens on June 16.

Manchester City fan Noel said Roy Hodgson’s team might make the quarter-finals in France before being dumped out.

And he reckons England’s 3-2 win against Germany last month was a fluke.

NOT ENGLISH: Gallagher says he doesn't consider himself to be English

He said: “I am not a fan of the English team. Internationally I don’t really support anyone, but if England were playing Scotland tomorrow, I would be supporting Scotland.

"If Ireland played England, I would be supporting Ireland, same for Wales.

"I don’t consider myself to be English – my parents are Irish, my wife’s Scottish, my children have got some Scottish in them.”

Noel said a hatred of Manchester United led to his loathing of the England team.

And he claims only players from his beloved City deserve medals.

He said: “I don’t like Wayne Rooney, most of the United players have coloured my judgment of England…I know it’s petty but it’s just the way I am.

MANAGER: Noel reckons Hodgson and the lads will only make the quarter-finals

"Joe Hart is a legend and if anyone deserved a medal it would be him, and Raheem Sterling, but the rest of them can f*** right off.”

The grumpy musician also said he was not interested in Leicester City’s potential fairytale Premier League title win.

He added: “I am not interested, if we don’t win it.”
