The rumours have been rife for a few days now, Mats Hummels looks set to be the latest Borussia Dortmund star to leave for Bayern Munich.
On Tuesday evening, German newspaper Bild report that Mats Hummels has told Borussia Dortmund that he wants to leave this summer for Bayern Munich.
Bild reveal that Borussia Dortmund will likely release a short statement in the coming days confirming that Hummels is to depart for Bayern this summer.
As a publicly traded company, Dortmund have to announce major changes to their playing squad that could affect the share price of the Bundesliga club.
To soften the blow, Dortmund are looking at some sort of swap deal involving Mario Gotze, who would return to Dortmund.
Gotze, who scored the winning goal for Germany in the 2014 World Cup final, has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, where he would play under former coach Jurgen Klopp.
