Feyenoord resigned to losing Vilhena

Feyenoord director Martin van Geel admits the club has all but given up hope they can convince star man Tonny Vilhena to extend his stay at the club.
Vilhena's current contract with the Club of the People expires at the end of the current campaign and, despite season-long negotiations over an extension, the midfielder seems set on the idea of becoming a free agent and finding a new club during the off-season.
"It's been quiet for weeks on that angle. They have not come back to our final offer of a few weeks ago. That's a shame. We think that he should stay yet for two years and then leave internationally," Van Geel told television programme Tafel met Kees.
"But we need to give serious consideration to an exit. We have had two and a half years of discussion. We have therefore responded by signing Renato Tapia."
The list of clubs reportedly interested in securing the services of Vilhena is prestigious and has likely had a significant influence on the player and his decision to leave the club at the end of the current campaign.
The likes of Porto, Leicester, Juventus, Roma, Monaco and Bayern have all been linked with the player at various points throughout the season.
