Hibernian FC vs Dumbarton - Alan Stubbs: Winning three points the only focus

Boss Alan Stubbs insists three points will be the only thing on Hibernian's minds when they take on Dumbarton at Easter Road on Tuesday night.

Hibs are in third place in the Ladssobrokes Championship, three points and seven goals behind Falkirk with a game in hand over the Bairns, and with two matches remaining.

Their second-place prospects would have been rosier had they not lost 3-2 at Dumbarton in February after giving their hosts a three-goal start.

However, Stubbs, who has defender Liam Fontaine back in the squad following a thigh injury while midfielder Dylan McGeouch could be back for the weekend after recovering from a groin complaint, dismissed talk of revenge or looking to pile on the goals against the eighth-placed visitors.

He told HibsTV: "Our last game there, we more or less gifted them three goals and then we came back and in the end we should have taken something from the game.

"But that doesn't mean that tomorrow is about revenge.

"We approach every game to win it so that won't change.

"Tomorrow, we know that we want to pick up three points first and foremost.

"We have a goal deficit of seven to try to catch up, we are going to attack but the most important thing is that we win the game."

Dumbarton duo Mark Docherty and Christian Nade are struggling to be fit after niggling injuries flared up following Saturday's 2-1 win over St Mirren.

Manager Stephen Aitken is not letting his side rest on their laurels despite securing their Chmpionship status as he explained: "We will go out with the same game plan as we would have had if it been necessary for us to get something from the game.

"Hibs will throw a lot at us as they need goals and a win to get closer to Falkirk in second place. I will be putting out a side that will be expected to cope with that."
