Fiorentina's Josep Ilicic has reportedly been targeted by Leicester City as the English club aim to bolster their ranks ahead of their unprecedented Champions League adventure next season.
The Foxes recently secured their place in the European competition as they currently lead the Premier League standings with only five matches remaining and coach Claudio Ranieri has reportedly planned a summer move for the Slovenian international.
The Sun have confirmed reports that Leicester are considering a €14 million bid for the creative midfielder, although it is still be seen if the Viola will relinquish their player’s services and the hierarchy could demand a lucrative fee if they are to sell him.
The East Midlands outfit have scouted the 28-year-old on several occasions, although they could face competition from Liverpool if they are to obtain his in-demand signature.
Ilicic initially joined Fiorentina from Palermo €9 million in 2013, and has since made 70 Serie A appearances and scored 23 league goals.
