Monchengladbach 5 - 0 Hertha BSC Berlin: Thorgan Hazard bags brace as Borussia Monchengladbach ease past Hertha Berlin

Borussia Monchengladbach climbed emphatically into the top four of the Bundesliga with a 5-0 win over Hertha Berlin, whose grip on third place loosened at the Borussia Park Stadion.
Thorgan Hazard gave Gladbach a deserved lead at half-time, before second-half goals from Andre Hahn, Patrick Herrmann, Hazard again and Ibrahima Traore finished off the Old Lady.
The win takes the Foals to within three points of their guests in the battle for Champions League football next season.
Gladbach were more than good value for their half-time lead with the only surprise being the lack of a clearer advantage.
That solitary goal came from a mistake by Hertha goalkeeper Rune Jarstein, who cleared the ball badly to Mahmoud Dahoud, and he set up Hazard to score.
Jarstein made amends with some excellent saves, but soon the pressure became too great even for him to withstand.
Fabian Johnson selflessly teed up Hahn to make it two on the hour mark when he could have had a shot on goal himself.
Herrmann put the result beyond doubt 15 minutes from time when he tucked the loose ball in after Jarstein only parried Hazard's shot.
Hertha's heads dropped and Hazard took full advantage, grabbing his second of the game thanks to a deflection off Fabian Lustenberger.
There was still time for Traore to rub salt into Hertha's wounds with a shot from a tight angle beating Jarstein and making it five for the rampaging Foals, who are now closing in on Hertha for an automatic Champions League group stage berth next season.
