Gareth Bale offers words of encouragement to Gary Neville who was sacked as Valencia coach on Wednesday
Gareth Bale is confident Gary Neville will 'bounce back' from his bitter disappointment at Valencia, who sacked the former England defender on Wednesday.
The 41-year-old lost his job as coach after less than four months on Spain's east coast which saw the team win just three of their 16 La Liga games.
Valencia, who are two-time Champions League finalists, are currently 14th in the table and just six points clear of the relegation zone with eight games remaining.
And Bale, who is coming towards the end of his third season at Real Madrid having joined from Tottenham, said: "It is obviously difficult coming to Spain anyway and being a manager where you really do have to be vocal and speak the language.
"It is obviously a difficult situation but I felt given time he's shown how much he knows about football and it is obviously a shame he's been sacked.
"I'm sure he'll bounce back from the experience and it will stand him in good stead for the future."
