LIVERPOOL are ready to make a shock raid for Arsenal stars Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Wojciech Szczesny, according to reports.

Football Insider claim Jurgen Klopp is desperate to overhaul his side in the summer and is willing to spend £40m on the Gunners duo.

Goalkeeper Szczesny is currently on loan at Serie A side Roma but would provide stiff competition for Simon Mignolet if he moved to Anfield.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates and is also wanted by Manchester City and former club Southampton.

The Gunners are keen to keep the England international and offer him a new deal but the 22-year-old wants more first-team football.

He is also demanding a 200 per cent pay increase on his current £52,000-a-week salary.

Arsenal rate Oxlade-Chamberlain at £30m and Szczesny at £10m which would mean a hefty offer from Liverpool would be required for any deal to be completed.
