Stranraer will be looking to continue their upturn in form when they host Stenhousemuir in Saturday's League One clash.

Brian Reid's side have gone from bottom in December to fourth-place and a play-off spot - but they will be without the injured David McGurn (toe), David Barron (ankle) and Lee Mair (groin) against the Warriors.

"We showed how far we have progressed this season by playing really well and more than earning a point at Peterhead in midweek," Reid said.

"We have won 22 points since beating Stenhousemuir 5-1 on Boxing Day and that is good going. It would be great to get another win to keep hold of fourth place as well as putting us nine points ahead of Stenhousemuir in the play-off race."

Alan Cook returns from suspension for the visitors but former Stranraer midfielder Stephen Stirling is banned.

Allan Smith remains out with a groin injury and Kieran Millar is a doubt - while manager Brown Ferguson has delayed naming his team after several players missed training due to illness.

"We have had a tough run as this is our fourth game against a top four side. We have dropped off the play-off chase but our objective of reaching 40 points has not changed," he said.

"Stranraer are on a very strong run however we know that if we put in a strong performance for the full 90 minutes we can win."
