Leyton Orient vs Luton Town - Ollie Palmer is a doubt for Leyton Orient

Leyton Orient forward Ollie Palmer is struggling to be fit for Saturday's League Two clash at home to Luton.

Palmer scored in the O's 2-2 draw at Carlisle on Tuesday but has sustained an ankle problem and will have to be assessed.

Jobi McAnuff is also trying to overcome an ankle injury and is a doubt while midfielder Lloyd James (Achilles), striker Paul McCallum and winger Dean Cox (both knee) are all out.

Orient sit seventh in the table, just inside the play-off spots, after taking seven points from their last three matches.

Luton boss Nathan Jones has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the trip.

The Hatters will definitely have to make do without defender Mark O'Brien, though, as he has joined Vanarama National League side Southport on loan.

Jones also confirmed that Nathan Doyle and Josh McQuoid are nearing a return from injury but both remain a couple of weeks away from full fitness.

Midfielder Doyle, who has suffered a number of setbacks this term, and forward McQuoid are both recovering from knee operations.
