Jurgen Klopp is rumoured to be handed a sizable bankroll to chase players for Liverpool's 2016-17 campaign.
Liverpool have said that Jurgen Klopp will be given substantial funds to overhaul his squad this summer after the club's 2014-15 accounts show that revenue is up by 16.5 percent to £297.9 million.
The Guardian says Bayern Munich's Mario Gotze, Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski and Leicester City's young left-back Ben Chilwell are all targets for Klopp who has already begun his reshaping of the squad, after recruiting Schalke's central defender Joel Matip and Red Star Belgrade's playmaker Marko Grujic for next season. The German's budget could be increased even more if he can manage to offload Christian Benteke and Mario Balotelli, while Joe Allen and the out-of-contract duo Kolo Toure and Jose Enrique could also exit.
Liverpool's chief executive Ian Ayre said that the financial growth, before a season that will bring record domestic broadcasting revenue and an increased capacity at Anfield, will give the club extra reason to support Klopp as he plans major improvements to his squad.
