Bury vs Peterborough United - Nathan Cameron injury rocks Bury ahead of Peterborough clash

Bury have suffered a blow ahead of the visit of Peterborough with the news that captain Nathan Cameron will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury.

The central defender has missed the last two games and has now discovered he needs surgery, ruling him out for at least eight weeks.

The news leaves the Shakers short of options ahead of Tuesday's match. Peter Clarke and Reece Brown are now the only two recognised centre-backs in David Flitcroft's squad.

Striker Leon Clarke (thigh) will again be assessed.

Peterborough boss Graham Westley expects to have some of his key players available again at Gigg Lane.

Westley would not name names, although Michael Bostwick is expected to return to the team after serving a two-match suspension.

Fellow central defender Jack Baldwin, left-back Kgosi Nthle, striker Lee Angol, attacking midfielder Jon Taylor, goalkeeper Ben Alnwick and midfield playmaker Chris Forrester all missed Saturday's home defeat to Swindon.

Striker Joe Gormley and midfielder Jermaine Anderson are long-term injury absentees for Posh, who have lost their last four League One fixtures.
