BVB Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed that his childhood dream is to play for Real Madrid.
There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Aubameyang’s future, but he has hinted that he may look to move to the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the ongoing season.
Aubameyang also brought to light the fact that he promised his grandfather that he would don a Madrid jersey at some point in his career.
"My childhood dream? To play at Real Madrid," Aubameyang told L'Equipe. "In 2014, before he died, I promised my grandfather who was from Avila, 110 kilometers from Madrid, that I would play there. It will be complicated, but it sits in a corner of my head.
"When I was a kid, I watched Hugo Sanchez videos. The backflip I sometimes do when I score is actually an homage to him. Real Madrid, or another great spanish club, would also be a great gift to my mother."
The 26-year-old is in the midst of the best season of his career as he has scored 30 goals and notched up eight assists in 32 appearances in all competitions.
