Mario Mandzukic publishes Joker picture on social media in warning to Pep Guardiola

On Monday, Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic uploaded a picture to all his social media accounts, with his face painted like The Joker from Batman.

Mandzukic has not played a huge role for Juventus this season, due to injuries and The Old Lady's stunning form of late. The Croatian has though scored six goals in 16 appearances.

But, the Croatian press have quickly claimed that Mandzukic's Joker picture, now uploaded as his profile picture across all social media networks, is a warning to Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola.

Mandzukic was sold by Guardiola from Bayern Munich to Atletico Madrid, despite a good goal scoring record at the Allianz Arena over two seasons.

The Croatian hitman is believed to still bear a grudge towards the Bayern boss and feels he could be a “joker” off the bench in the upcoming Champions League tie between the Bundesliga champions and Italian league leaders.

Pablo Dybala and Alvaro Morata have generally been Juventus' starting strikers in recent weeks.

Juventus host Bayern in Turin next Tuesday with the second leg in mid-March.
