Here's what Louis van Gaal really thinks about the Europa League
WHO CARES: Van Gaal doesn't consider the Europa League a priority

The Dutchman ranks the Europa League behind the Premier League and the FA Cup. United travel to face Danish champions FC Midtjylland on Thursday night in the first leg of their Round of 32 tie.

The winners of this season’s competition qualify for the Champions League but LVG said: “It is important but only third in my priorities.

"It would be different if we were still in the Champions League. That is the highest point in the world for me and I have won that.

"But it would still be very important to win the Europa League to qualify for the Champions League.

"Also, historically it’s important because United have never won it.”
