Striker Byron Harrison could feature for Stevenage against Cambridge after joining on a one-month loan deal from Chesterfield.
Midfielder Dean Parrett should shake off a foot injury which saw him substituted as Boro won for the first time in 10 games at Hartlepool on Tuesday night, but Keith Keane cannot play against his parent club.
Midfielder Michael Tonge (hamstring) could return, but Adam Marriott (calf) and Chris Whelpdale (groin) are absent once again.
David McAllister, Jerome Okimo, Ben Kennedy and Steven Schumacher (all knee) are also still out.
Cambridge chase a third straight win with Conor Newton ruled out again with a back problem.
Striker Newton is undergoing rehabilitation following back spasms and has missed all four games in the current unbeaten sequence.
Karlan Ahearne-Grant, who is on loan from Charlton, could feature after missing the win at Dagenham through illness, but Barry Corr (knee) and Greg Taylor (ankle) are out for the season.
Shane O'Neill, who has signed on loan from Apollon Limassol until the end of the season, could make his debut after he was an unused substitute against the Daggers.
