Manchester United and Manchester City are ready to battle it out to sign Barcelona superstar Neymar this summer, according to The Sun.
Pep Guardiola has earmarked the Brazil international as his No.1 target as he prepares to take over at the Etihad Stadium this summer, while United previously informed Barca that they would be prepared to pay his £144 million release clause were he to become available.
Both clubs are desperate to make Neymar the face of their respective brands over the next few years and are willing to pay the attacker an eye-watering wage of £1m-per-week.
However, any move is said to hinge on Champions League qualification, with United likely to miss out if they fail to finish in the top four.
