Bale a doubt for Roma trip
Striker is unlikely to feature in Champions League clash

Gareth Bale is unlikely to be fit for Real Madrid's Champions League last sixteen first-leg game away to Roma. The striker has not yet recovered from a calf injury and the club does not hold out much hope of him recovering in time for the trip to Rome.
The Welshman was initially expected to be out for three weeks, which would have seen him back in time for the Roma game. However, following a week working out on the sand, he disappeared from training to work alongside the club's physiotherapists at Valdebebas. That setback could see Bale miss Real Madrid's first big game of the Zidane era.
