Hertha BSC Berlin 0 - 0 Borussia Dortmund: Borussia Dortmund held by Hertha Berlin in goalless stalemate

Hertha Berlin halted Borussia Dortmund's recent momentum by holding Thomas Tuchel's men to a 0-0 draw in the capital, leaving the two sides still 10 points apart in second and third place in the Bundesliga.
It was second-placed Dortmund who did most of the attacking inside the sold-out Olympiastadion, but Hertha held firm for the point they were looking for.
Vladimir Darida's cross was headed just inches over by John Anthony Brooks, who nearly celebrated signing a new contract this week with a rare goal for the hosts, on one of their rare attacks.
Dortmund's best first-half chance against an otherwise disciplined Hertha defence was a Mats Hummels header which was no real problem for Rune Jarstein.
Hertha were stemming the usual flow of Dortmund's game and, although they did not have five men at the back as Tuchel had predicted on the eve of the match, they were nevertheless focused on keeping a clean sheet.
That did not mean they were without chances of their own, and Salomon Kalou wasted one of the best in the game with 12 minutes remaining when he placed his shot just wide on a rare counter-attack.
Dortmund's continued efforts proved to be in vain as Hertha shut them out and got the result they were looking for, while the Westphalians were unable to take a sizeable chunk out of Bayern Munich's lead at the top of the table.
