Neymar's father is reported to have told Judge José de la Mata that his son won't necessarily end his career at Barcelona and that an unnamed club recently offered to pay the forward 190 million euros to up sticks.According to legal sources quoted by Spanish news agency EFE, Neymar Sr made several references to his son's in-demand status during his three-hour testimony in the trial into alleged corruption and fraud in the former Santos starlet's move to Barça in 2013. However, the judge interrupted when the Brazil international's dad started discussing interest from other clubs, stating that this was irrelevant to the events that are under investigation.
At one point, Neymar's legal representative reportedly began spinning the yarn about the 23-year-old's career and how he wasn't pre-ordained to move to the Catalan capital, whereupon another interruption from the judge was forthcoming to question the relevance to the matter at hand.Interestingly, on exiting the court, Neymar Sr insisted to the press that there is no offer on the table from Real Madrid and that the hold-up in his son renewing his contract at Barcelona is solely due to the ongoing legal proceedings.
