Kelechi Iheanacho and Kevin De Bruyne could both make Manchester City's Champions League squad for the knockout rounds.
Kevin De Bruyne remains key to Manchester City's Champions League hopes but Samir Nasri's participation is still up in the air.
Both midfielders are long-term absentees for the Blues and Kelechi Iheanacho is pushing for selection in European competition after impressing in his limited opportunities this season.
De Bruyne is not set to be back before April, with Manuel Pellegrini confirming that the initial diagnosis should see him out for eight to ten weeks.
The quarter-finals are set to be played in the first two weeks of that month and Pellegrini is thinking optimistically about the Belgian's return, providing City make it beyond Dynamo Kiev in the last-16.
"We have until Monday to make a decision but we hope Kevin will be ready at the end of March, so he will just miss the one round of 16. So I don’t think we will take him out of the Champions League list."
